Above are three of my ideas for an open day flyer for the HND graphic design course at City and Islington collage. The were done using photos of the campus.

Clan Campbell Whiskey Advert
The old train tracks and castles suggest this is a
product that is old and has survived the test of time.
The dark background coupled with the bright
torch-like light on the poster feel like finding your way home in the night.
The text “From the heartland of Clan Campbell” reiterates the feeling of
traveling home.
The only colour in the advert is the green bottle, a
colour usually associated with absinthe or ‘the green fairy’. Absinthe was a
popular drink until it was banned in the early 20th century but
became popular again in in the 1990's. (Absinthe101 2011)
The name Clan Campbell is taken from a Scottish
Clan dating back to 1260. (Inveraray Castle) Both these things
make you think of the past and suggest that Clan Campbell whiskey is older than
it is. In reality the brand was not created until the 1930's. (Scotch Malt Whiskey)
All these things have one purpose to make you want
to buy Clan Campbell whisky, by creating an atmosphere that is appealing they
entice you into picking their whisky over another.

The evolution of the Audi logo
This image shows the evolution of the Audi brand logo from 1909 to 2009.
It is important for branding to be recognizable and although most of the logos are similar there are some differences over the years. The four circles represent Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer, four companies that merged to create Audi AG.
